[Week IX] Movie Review-Hancock

John Hancock is a Los Angeles’ resident superhero like a Superman with capabilities and strength. The only problem is that even though Hancock catches bad guys and saves people’s lives, he is a clumsy drunk. Whatever he done to save people he always makes large damages to the property. The resultant property damages as Hancock inadvertently writes off a traffic overhead sign amongst others makes the authorities issue a warrant for his arrest.Hancock’s real problem though is that he has an abrasive personality and doesn’t exactly care what people think of him.

So one day when he rescues a PR specialist played by Jason Bateman as Ray from being crushed by an oncoming train, the PR guy offers to help Hancock to clean up his act and improve his public image. Hancock reluctantly accepts the offer and takes Ray back to his home where he meets his wife Mary played by Charlize Theron and Ray’s son. At the PR expert’s advice Hancock agrees to be incarcerated for his crimes. His PR strategy is to make Hancock off and the streets crime will skyrocket and in no time the authorities will ask for his help again, which does indeed happen.

Overall this is a good movie to be watched because it is an entertaining and funny for its story. This movie gives us a good advice to do something “think firs before you act” so it is better for us to choose the right thing to do so that we will not harm other people.
