[Week VII] Comparison- Japan's Technology and Indonesia's Technology

Japan's Technology and Indonesia's Technology

As we all know, Japan is a developed nation, and on the other hand, Indonesia is a developing nation. We can see the differences in their technology. This essay will explain the differences of their technology such as, their source of electricity, their transportation, and developing companies.

First of all, Japan has many sources for its electricity. Japan uses the nuclear power and natural gas for its source of energy. Not just that, Japan also has a machine which can recycle garbage to be a source of electricity. Although Japan is very energy efficient, Indonesia has not yet have that kind of technology. Most of the electricity in Indonesia is produced by water power which comes from waterfalls. First, the water moves the turbine, then the movement of the turbine moves the generator, and as a result, it creates electricity.

Secondly, Japan has more advanced technology in transportation than that of Indonesia. For example, Japan has both train and subway train for its transportation, but on the other hand, Indonesia has not had any subway train yet, in fact, Indonesia is only using the regular train. It is obvious that Japan's technology in transportation is at least one step ahead from Indonesia's, and with these facilities, Japan enables its people to work more efficient because they can take the subway train to avoid the traffic jam.

Last but not least, Japan has already have much more famous companies such as Toyota, Honda, Sony, Panasonic, and many other well known companies in the world. This gives Japan the advantages to produce and sell more good products and to develop their technology.

In conclusion, Japan has more advanced technology that Indonesia. First, Japan has more sources of electricity than Indonesia which makes Japan can create more electricity and use it more efficiently. As an addition, Japan also has the subway stations which provide people the service to hinder the problem of traffic jam. Nevertheless, Japan has many well known companies in the world to back up its development. From this we can summarize that Japan which is a developed nation is developing new inventions, while on the other side, Indonesia which is a developing nation is still struggling in developing what Japan had already developed.
