[Week II] Review Movie, 'Keeping Mum'

As a drama-comedy movie, 'Keeping Mum' would able to make you laugh with a little bit of thrill implicit in every scene you might see in this movie.

This movie is telling us about an odd yet psycho nanny named Grace. She actually is a very gracious old lady which hidding her true identity inside her friendly smile. She always trying to make a perfect family in any way, though she has to use 'her own hands'.

After failed creating a perfect family for herself by killing her husband for not being nice to her, she has found another opportunity to make another perfect family which consist of a vicar, a wife, a son, and a daughther. This family is lack of attention from their own members. The husband, a vicar, is merely placing too much concern on his job and is unconcern about his own family. The wife, ended up with an affair with her golf trainer because she thinks that her husband can no longer fulfill her needs as a wife. The son, being bullied by his school mates. The daughter, changing new boyfriend too often.

Seeing this situation, Grace felt that she is responsible to fix up this family by take caring all the trouble though there have to be bloodshed occured. She even kill the neighbour's dog which always barking in the middle of the night and the neighbour himself because of discovering her murdering the dog in purpose to make the family could have a nice sleep every night. Not just that, she even kill the golf trainer to prevent the wife for having affair with this guy, make an accident occurd to revange for the son's friends for bullying him and many bloodshed happend without a single sense of guilt.

By the time the mistery being solved, we can really understand what is Grace up to to this family. She's just trying to be a perfect house keeper to make a perfect family which just not in a perfect way.

This is a very freaky movie which standing in the middle of madness and sillyness. Overall, I`d give rank 3 of 5 because it has a briliant taste of movie genre. You can laugh and chills at the same time when you're watching this movie, so I believe this movie would be good only for movie reference.
